received $5,000 to provide 5 free dental days in Johnson County to those residents that qualify.
Habitat for Humanity
received $5,000 to invest in the development of their marketing outreach and Greenwood build.
Christian Help, Inc.
received $4,300 to establish a transitional housing program in Edinburgh. They plan to refurbish 3 homes and begin assisting 3 homeless families.
United Way of Johnson County
received $5,000 to provide support for the Economic Assistance Plan. The three goals of the program include
1) meet the needs of Johnson County residents who are experiencing job or income loss as a result of the current economy;
2) meet the needs of United Way Johnson County Agencies as they relate to the current economy; and
3) implement Charity Tracker to support goals 1 and 2.
College Mentors for Kids
received $2,000 to help support 25 at-risk Franklin youth through 30 Franklin College student volunteers.
Marriage Investors
received $2,500 to conduct an annual educational conference and purchase materials to conduct a marriage enrichment event for married couples and organize 2 educational programs for middle and high school Family and Consumer Science teachers.
The Refuge, Inc.
received $3,000 to purchase meat, eggs, milk and other dairy products, and fresh/frozen vegetables and fruit.

received $5,000 to support the Franklin Study Connection program. The program matches students in grades 1 through 4th with adult/mentors to improve a student’s academic achievement.
