21 Nonprofits Receive Funding to Further Their Work in the Johnson County Community
The Johnson County Community Foundation has supported the vital work of 21 nonprofit organizations that are responding to the many challenges facing the Johnson County Community. The foundation’s 2011 grant awards included funding for arts/culture, community development, education, seniors, health & human services and youth programs.
The Johnson County Community Foundation’s grant awards, which total $104,464, reflect the foundation’s mission to enhance the quality of life for all citizens of Johnson County.

Foundation Elects New Board Members
The foundation and the Johnson County community is please to announce the election of the following new members to the Board of Directors:
- Don Cummings – Endress + Hauser, Inc.
- Courtney Krudy – Williams Barrett and Wilkowski, LLP
- Erin Smith – Spotlight Strategies
- Brooke Worland – Franklin College
Each new director brings a wealth of experience to the board and will help further the foundation’s mission of “enhancing the quality of life for all citizens of Johnson County, now and for generations to come, by building community endowment, addressing needs through grantmaking, and providing leadership on key community issues.”
