Franklin Strong Scholarship Fund
in memory of Jason Moran and Michael “Micky” Chadbourne
Michael Chadbourne and Jason Moran tragically passed away in June 2014, from injuries sustained while attempting to save a friend from drowning. This tragedy, involving five Franklin teenagers, brought an incredible outpouring of love and support from the community under the motto Franklin Strong. In order to remember Michael and Jason and continually renew the love shown by the community, the families will award scholarships annually to Franklin Community High School seniors that best embody the characteristics that made Michael and Jason special young men in the eyes of so many.
The Johnson County Community Foundation is humbled to be able to facilitate the scholarship process for the families so that they may focus on raising funds for an endowment that will provide support to the Franklin school community in perpetuity.
