The longest and most generous day of 2018!

In 2018, the Johnson County Community Foundation is launching our first ever Giving Day - a special one-day fundraising event designed to promote the philanthropic spirit and support nonprofits who work so hard to meet our community’s needs.

Giving Day will provide a platform for participating organizations to generate donations by increasing awareness for who they are, what they do and what help they need. Thanks to Giving Day event, and related preparatory training, the nonprofits will learn how to:

  •        Tell their stories
  •        Build organizational capacity
  •        Lead conversations with donors
  •        Grow their endowment funds
  •        Raise major gifts, and
  •        Develop digital fundraising skills

Their dedication and success will be highly rewarded. JCCF is committing $50,000 to proportionately match community donations collected in the process.

And because we want to make the most of every minute available, Giving Day is set for the longest day of light for the year – the Summer Solstice – Thursday, June 21, 2018 from 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.

Nonprofits organizations, want to participate? The Application & Participant Agreement is due by August 25, 2017 at 5:00 p.m.
