Chief Financial Officer
Thelma joined the Johnson County Community Foundation in 2015 and serves as Chief Financial Officer. She is responsible for the fiscal accountability of JCCF, overseeing donor information relating to funds and maintaining the donor database.
Thelma graduated from Indiana Central University (now University of Indianapolis) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.
After many years working in the for profit world, Thelma found her way to the nonprofit world by serving with the AmeriCorps Vista program. Her service duties were for the American Red Cross during the 2008 floods. She quickly found a passion for serving others and helping people in need.
Prior to joining JCCF, Thelma served at Youth Connections for more than five years. She has also served as auditor for the State of Indiana, Controller for Greenwood Village South and Assistant Administrator for the Library Park Rehabilitation Center.
Thelma grew up in Michigan City, Indiana, and has lived in Johnson County since 1993.
Thelma loves both playing and watching sports. She played volleyball, basketball, tennis and softball in school, and she still actively plays volleyball and golf and rides her bike. In her spare time she loves volunteering at her church and enjoys working with special needs children.
Thelma started the LPRC Club (Loving Parents Remarkable Children)basketball program. Parents can bring their children to play in a free basketball program where ability is not a factor. She is a 2017 graduate of Leadership Johnson County and served on the board of directors for the League of Miracles.
