YOUTH PHILANTHROPY INITIATIVE OF JOHNSON COUNTY
Giving back to your community is an important lesson for everyone. Learning that lesson early in life develops empathetic, productive and responsible neighbors.
That’s why our Johnson County Community Foundation (JCCF) supports the Youth Philanthropy Initiative of Johnson County (YPIJC), the first countywide youth leadership program focused on inspiring excellence in young people.
Teaching young people the importance of donating time, money and talent, helps perpetuate our Foundation’s legacy, and prepares donors and volunteers for years to come. The program provides learning opportunities and equips participants with resources, mentors and tools to solve serious community issues while developing a lifelong commitment to philanthropy.
YPIJC Mission – Empower young people as community leaders who give their time, talent and treasure for the common good.
YPIJC supports youth-led service projects with grants up to $500. We award grants to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations and other groups for projects that meet specific criteria outlined in the grant application and our YPIJC brochure.
