Access to clean water is something many of us take for granted, yet more than 700 million people around the world still live without it. After learning about the global water crisis in 2018, Danita Castor committed to making a difference through endurance events that raise funds for clean water.
Since then, Danita has completed 3 half marathons, 9 marathons, 4 ultra-marathons, and climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro, raising more than $200,000 and helping connect 83 children with sponsors. Most recently, she completed a 53-mile trail run through South Dakota’s Black Hills, raising over $25,000, enough to provide a lifetime of clean water for more than 500 people.
Danita’s travels to Africa have shown her both the heartbreak of families without safe water and the incredible transformation that clean water brings to entire communities. Those experiences continue to inspire her commitment.
Danita’s next challenge is the 2027 Disney Dopey Challenge, where she’ll complete a 5K, 10K, half marathon, and full marathon over four consecutive days.
You can help change lives. Every donation brings clean, safe water to families in need and creates lasting hope for communities around the world. Please consider making a gift and joining me in this mission.
