Featured Fund: Discover Downtown Franklin

The Discover Downtown Franklin Fund provides support to Discover Downtown Franklin (DDF), a nationally accredited Main Street organization that focuses on revitalization efforts within historic downtown Franklin. DDF focuses on what is commonly known in the Main Street world as the Four Point Approach: Design, Promotion, Economic Vitality and Organization. These ingredients create a functional and attractive downtown space and community.
It is within these four points that DDF bases projects. This includes local historic preservation, partnering with Franklin Heritage, Inc. to conduct architectural guideline reviews within the Franklin Development Corporation’s grant and loan programs. DDF also assists with beautification projects such as alley activations and accessibility improvements.
DDF annually hosts several patron-attracting events that have become local traditions. Strawberries on the Square, Franklin Hops & Vines, Ethos Celebration of the Arts, the Franklin Holiday Lighting, and the Franklin Farmers Market contribute to the mission of community visibility and family-fun.
Furthermore, DDF supports downtown businesses through printed materials, financial contributions, advertisement, and information distribution.
The DDF fund at JCCF helps support these revitalization efforts and strengthen the community partnerships that make Franklin a wonderful place to live, work and play.
