Fourteen local nonprofits receive grant funding

The Johnson County Community Foundation (JCCF) presented grant checks to 14 nonprofit organizations serving Johnson County. The grants totaled $86,950 and ranged from $3,000 to $10,000 each.

The grants awarded include:
  • $10,000 to Advocates for Education of Indianapolis for the Justice-Involved Youth Outreach Program
  • $7,500 to Aspire Economic Development + Chamber Alliance of Greenwood for the Aspire School to Work
  • $7,500 to Firefly Children & Family Alliance of Whiteland for Safe Babies in Johnson County
  • $6,800 to Girls Inc. of Johnson County of Franklin for Girls Inc. Outreach Expansion
  • $7,500 to Great Harvest Food Pantry of New Whiteland for Weekend Feeding Program JC Elementary Schools
  • $5,000 to Joy’s House of Indianapolis for Adult Day Scholarship Program
  • $5,000 to KIC-IT of Franklin for Youth Ally for Homeless Education and Prevention
  • $10,000 to the Nineveh-Hensley-Jackson United School Corporation for CREEK Manufacturing
  • $3,000 to Piper’s Purpose of Bargersville for Piper’s Purpose mission
  • $5,000 to Recover Out Loud of Columbus for Sober Social Services
  • $6,500 to Resources of Hope Inc. of Whiteland for Teen Connect
  • $3,000 to Society of St. Andrew, Inc. of Indianapolis for The Indiana Gleaning Network
  • $5,150 to Stone’s Auto Service of Greenwood for Tuesday Nights Auto Service
  • $5,000 to The Salvation Army Red Shield Center of Greenwood for Emergency Assistance for Transportation

JCCF’s grants committee, chaired by JCCF board of directors member David Payne of Greenwood, consists of seven persons who are members of the JCCF’s board of directors or other community volunteers.

“Thanks to our donors, JCCF has been in a position to partner with, through our grant making process, many non-profit agencies who do have the ability to impact the lives of many people in our community,” said Committee Chair David Payne. “I'm looking forward to 2024 and the number of agencies we can impact.”

Stephanie Fox, JCCF director of grants and scholarships said, “The Johnson County Community Foundation is pleased to be able to support these amazing organizations who are providing a variety of necessary services to the people of Johnson County. Several of these organizations were new to the Foundation and our committee; we are impressed with the work that is being done in our community.”
