JCCF Receives Clean Audit Opinion for 2024
Published: May 23, 2025 by Johnson County Community Foundation
The Johnson County Community Foundation is proud to share significant financial milestones and operational achievements that underscore its deep commitment to transparency, fiscal responsibility, and community impact. In its most recent financial audit, the Foundation received a clean opinion, the highest level of assurance an organization can earn. This means that the Foundation’s financial statements are fairly presented and free from material misstatements, reflecting best-in-class financial practices and governance.
“Receiving a clean audit reaffirms our commitment to transparency, fiscal responsibility, and the trust our supporters place in us,” said Kim Kasting, President & CEO of JCCF. “It’s a testament to the integrity of our team and our unwavering focus on using every dollar to advance our mission.”
Further demonstrating this commitment, the Foundation dedicated 87% of its expenses directly to programming this year — far surpassing the 60% to 65% average typically seen among all 501(c)(3) grant making type organizations. This efficiency highlights the Foundation’s focus on maximizing donor impact and delivering high-value programs to the community it serves.
The Foundation’s financial strength has also grown significantly, with total assets increasing by $8.1 million from the previous year, bringing total assets to just over $50 million. Investment performance was a key contributor, with returns up nearly $7.7 million, further strengthening the Foundation’s ability to support long-term initiatives and community needs.
These financial outcomes position the Foundation for continued success in serving the public good and responding to both immediate and future community challenges. The audit in its entirety will be posted on the Foundation’s website (jccf.org) in the next few weeks.
