President's Post: Exciting things are coming!

Published: June 28, 2023 by Gail Richards, president & CEO

Reflecting back on 2022, I had to pause to remember everything that we fit into last year. It was wildly crazy with expanding our Employer Resource Network, finalizing a new development plan, submitting and receiving our National Accreditation renewal, replacing two key employees (Greg Pryor and Thelma Slisher), weathering the stock market fluctuations and the list goes on. We were just flat out busy! All-in-all, 2022 was a great year where many donors were matched with community passions that will exist forever through JCCF.

So on to 2023. I was reflecting on what could possibly take place this year and realized that I ponder this every year. In the 14 years that I have been President & CEO, most years were fairly predictable but that predictability flew out the window in March of 2020 as the world was thrown into the pandemic turmoil. What I know for sure about 2023 is there are two exciting things that will happen that I want to share with you. We are expecting a baby Fox (Stephanie) in the summer and will be celebrating the wedding of Stephanie Wagner. So both of our Stephanies have monumental things occurring this year.

Now don’t worry, the regular things will be going on as well to take care of our community – scholarships, grants, murals, legacy-building, fundraising, etc. – but the happy dances will be going on in this office when part of this amazing JCCF team celebrates life milestones. Please help me wish them all the best as we move forward through 2023.

Stay tuned for more exciting activities and accomplishments in 2023!
