I was on vacation during the transition from myself to the new President & CEO, Kim Kasting. I went to sleep on July 31, 2023 as President & CEO and woke up on August 1, 2023 as the Director of Special Projects and Kim’s employee. I have to admit after 14+ years at the helm of JCCF, it did feel a little strange, not bad, just strange. I am sailing off into the sunset of retirement to spend more time with my granddaughter because I do not want to miss time with her. I never thought I would be a grandmother, and I sure do not want to miss this blessing that was added to my family over two years ago.

But enough about me, I want to give a shout out to Kim as she transitions into her new role after 16+ years at JCCF. She aced her interviews and demonstrated that she is definitely the one to lead JCCF into the future. She is a poised professional, a community leader, a builder of JCCF and community assets and a team player. Kim will share with you in the next and subsequent issues, her vision for taking JCCF from ~$40 million in assets to the sky is the limit assets.
