Heartland Community Bank Founders honored
Board members at Heartland Community Bank have established a fund at the foundation to honor the bank’s founders – Steve Bechman and Jeff Goben.
“When John Norton announced that a scholarship had been established in our honor, I was truly stunned. It was totally unexpected, and I was speechless,” said Steve.
Steve and Jeff will be involved in the selection of scholarship recipients. The ongoing scholarship is awarded to graduating seniors from Johnson County with an outstanding record of community service.
“Jeff and I both have tried to give back to the community throughout our banking careers and have encouraged our employees to do the same. Now our passion for this will live on through this scholarship fund,” said Steve.
