True Colors

Early in my term as board chair, JCCF board members participated in a leadership training analyzing several leadership characteristics. The point of “true colors,” of course, is to find different leadership strengths and to mold to fit the various JCCF endeavors insuring successful results. Obviously no one board member embodies all the necessary strengths to lead to successful county projects, but as a team JCCF can enrich our county and its resources.

So it is with our community: every citizen shines with colors which when teamed with those of other citizens will create a powerful effect! JCCF identifies countless causes that matter and needs each citizen’s strengths to achieve the established goals.

The Lilly Endowment has once again afforded JCCF the opportunity to expand our outreach within Johnson County and will more than match monetarily our endeavors to address them. JCCF asks that each person access his/her own “colors” and decide how he/she can best contribute.

As my term as Chairman of the JCCF Board of Directors closes, I want to thank not only the staff and board members, but compliment each one for his/her vision and “fortitude.” Each one’s capacity for building positive and satisfying relationships has led to successful partnerships throughout the county. Most importantly I extend appreciation to the myriad of volunteers who have generously given their time, their expertise, and their funds. Together, all of our true colors have led to a better understanding of others needs and desires and to a richer community.

Thank you.

A special thanks to our Platinum Community Partners!
