Unrestricted possibilities
Published: January 11, 2018 by Kim Minton, Vice President of Development

There are many ways to give back to Johnson County. The key is to find the method that best fits you! The Foundation offers different options to suit your particular needs in order to help you achieve your giving goals and dreams.
Lifetime Giving
Watch your charitable dollars make a real difference in our community. Start a fund or contribute toward an existing one. Join our Circle of Friends to provide ongoing support to the Foundation’s cause. Donations of cash, stock, property, real estate, business interests – gifts of any size – are welcomed and appreciated by all.
Tributes
Tributes can be made in honor or memory of a special person or event in a donor’s life and can be added to an existing fund or placed in the general endowment.
Bequest
Leave a legacy by making a gift through your will. This gift will create a fund that will make a long-lasting contribution to our community. Unrestricted support will enable us to meet emerging needs of the future in your name. Join our Legacy Society today, and we can tailor your interests to the needs of the community.
Charitable Remainder Trust
Receive income from a trust and designate the remainder to create a fund or contribute toward one of our existing funds. You get an immediate charitable deduction for a portion of the gift and may avoid capital gains and/or estate taxes. Contact your financial advisor to begin the process of setting up a Charitable Remainder Trust.
Charitable Lead Trust
Create a trust that stipulates a dollar amount to go to the Foundation for a specific period of time. At the end of the trust term, the principal of the trust passes back to an individual beneficiary. Contact your financial advisor to begin the process of setting up a Charitable Lead Trust.
Retirement Fund
Gift the assets of your retirement fund by naming the Foundation as a beneficiary and creating a “future fund” with us.
Life Insurance
Designate the Foundation as the owner and/or beneficiary of a policy you no longer need.
